There can be few places on Earth where so much dramatic mountain scenery is to be found as in the string of incredible National Parks - Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho - which stretch north-west from Calgary in the Canadian Rockies. This tour is limited to a maximum of 8 participants for a more structured learning experience. The charming and beautiful Lake Louise is our first base. It is ideally situated for exploring the famous Lake , Gem of the Rockies, and the not so popular, but arguably more beautiful, Morraine Lake whose turquoise waters are backed by tremendous snow capped peaks.

Join David Clapp and I for a week exploring the fabulous Lofoten Islands on the coastline of Arctic Norway and the beautiful snow covered forests of Sweden. Our week will be spent photographing these magnificent landscapes by day and waiting to photograph Aurora Borealis in the evenings. There is often more snow around after a long winter in this part of Scandinavia, we will concentrate on the wintry snow covered landscape both on the coast and inland into Sweden and possibly Finland.
